Dr. Joseph P. Mooney – Research Engineer II
Dr. Joseph P. Mooney is a Research Engineer II at Georgia Tech’s Energy Innovation Lab, where he develops experiments and, advanced materials and systems for sustainable water and energy technologies. His research focuses on sorbent-based water harvesting, heat exchangers, electronics thermal management and waste-heat-driven cooling. He previously held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at MIT and the University of Limerick and is the co-founder and CEO of WattAir, a Georgia Tech spinout redefining the water–energy nexus. Dr. Mooney used to be an international swimmer and enjoys the outdoors, surfing, photography and frequent trips back to Ireland!
