Biography
Professor Bachir El Fil is an assistant professor in George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Professor El Fil earned his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB); and his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He was a postdoctoral associate and research scientist at Device Research Lab, MIT from 2021-2024. He joined the Georgia Tech faculty in August 2024. Professor El Fil teaches and conducts research in the area of heat and mass transfer for a range of applications from thermal management to energy conversion and storage to water harvesting/purification.
